The Music department at FHES is a small, enthusiastic, and friendly team situated within a school that is driven to achieve the highest standards of teaching and is highly supportive of its staff and students alike. The department, currently comprised of two specialist teachers with a range of experiences, is undergoing a period of exciting transformation. The current Lead Teacher of Music is actively rewriting the curriculum and driving an ambitious vision to grow the department into a thriving heartbeat of the school. We are incredibly proud of our recent academic success, which is the result of a concentrated effort to improve both curriculum content and implementation. The department's reputation within the school and local community has been significantly enhanced, and the standard of practical and theoretical music teaching has improved steadily. With this growth trajectory comes significant opportunity for extra-curricular involvement, including leading ensembles and developing new performance outlets.
